You move to Alaska, have so many months to legally drive on an out of state license before you need an Alaskan license, and then it takes a year to wade through the bureaucracy. Our story was exact to the 'T'. I had mine first of course, because I didn't have the 'name change' portion. But the birth certificate deal....all the way down to the alcohol portion. I didn't read that section because it was long, confusing with a whole lot of numbers, and I don't drink.....why would it apply to me, right?! And then 85% of my first test...yes, first test dealt with the section I skipped over in the manual. Too funny!
-GregAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8801955958165531260.post-11010270030855382752009-03-06T09:55:00.000-09:002009-03-06T09:55:00.000-09:00Of course 14 y/o have to know how to drive. That's also why 14 y/o need to know about DUIs so they can talk the lingo with the cops when they're pulled over for swerving (lack of experience on icy roads, not drinking).Nolo and Laurenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07089295687338924703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8801955958165531260.post-76909405744514104552009-03-05T18:10:00.000-09:002009-03-05T18:10:00.000-09:00It took me FIVE MONTHS to get a valid driver licen...It took me FIVE MONTHS to get a valid driver license when I moved back to Texas and DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED about the incompetence of the DMV: http://jensandamy.com/index.php/site/blog/department_of_unbelievable_stupidity/
Glad you got resolved and I hope Doug finds his cell phone soon.
