Next to "I need a hug," "I have a question" is Nolan's new favorite phrase. Lately, our favorite conversation goes like this:
Nolan: I have a question, mom.
Me: Okay, Nolan, what is your question?
Nolan: When I run away, will I get a big spakin' or a little spankin'?

Not only is he full of Dennis the Menace but he's full of all kinds of mischief. What a boy!! Keeps everyone on their toes I'm sure. Did you tell him a big hug and then a little spanking. Besides where would he run away from and who taught him about running away??
We have a theory that Nolan and Brenden both learned about running away from when the dogs run away. That's all we can figure out (although I often FEEL like running away, I don't usually say it out loud).
When Doug and I were dating, every time we went somewhere the gas needle was pointing to empty and the indicator light was on. We started our joke about our "Adventures on E" and the idea stuck - and so did the trend. Doug loves to push the gas tank to its limit and usually knows just how far is too far.
Doug is a full-time pharmacist, but in his time off, he enjoys the outdoors and all that Alaska has to offer.
I am a stay at home mom of four great, energetic, and often difficult boys who keep me on my toes! I love to teach them and see them grow everyday. I also enjoy the slave labor some days. I enjoy cooking and crafty things.
Brenden is 9 and headed to fourth grade. He loves to read and takes great care of his little brothers, when he's not beating them up.
Nolan is 6 and is the most adorable blue eyed blond haired monster you've ever seen.
Ethan is 4 and anxiously awaiting the first day of kindergarten.
Cameron is 1 and a busy boy who loves trains, trucks, and dogs.
