After reading a little on Amazon, I was surprised to find the author is Mormon. I had no idea that this book that the world is in love with was written by a member of the church. Huh... that will add a new look on things when I read the books.
Finally, I wanted everyone to be able to see this video. A photographer named Mark Mabry has recreated some of the scenes of Christ's life in the most incredible photographs you could ask for. I especially love the one of Christ's baptism. I think it better portrays the event than the picture the church puts out. Okay, I especially like all of them, but my lesson today was Matthew 3 and Luke 3, both of which are the story of Christ's baptism, so I guess today, I am partial. Check out www.reflectionsofChrist.org for video clips of the making of the photos and another short video. The display is traveling and will be in Salt Lake October 4-5 in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It is free, so someone needs to go for me since I can't be there - please.

I've never read them either but Time Magazine had an article on the Twilight author recently. Apparently she does a great job of making a sexy "romance" novel that's high on the tension without the typical ... well, sex part.
I LOVE THE TWILIGHT SERIES! I read them all in 1 week.
I am so excited that you are staring the Twilight series. This whole time you have had no idea what you are missing. David says I "change" when I read the books. i become all romantic and sexy... like I wasn't that before!
I just finished the series. It is good, she does do a nice job with the sex parts, but I was told that part was really bad, so I expect worse high. Just try hard to get through the first book it can be slow but it picks up. You will like them. Just be prepared to have a messy house until you finish them!!
It's funny that Mandi thinks the first one is slow-that one has been my favorite so far but I am still reading the last one and it is pretty darn good. I do remember Mandi saying she was a Jacob fan and I am an Edward fan so that could be the reason for our difference in opinion of the first book. She probably liked the second while I didn't like the second much. So, will you be an Edward or Jacob fan?....that is the big question. And yes, I really enjoyed the Mormon's perspective of sex.
that was JoLynne
Jacob and I watched the video clip together, he will be 8 on Oct 1 and then baptized on Oct 11th. Where has the time gone, Jamie
